R. Scott Morgan Sr.

Morgan served as the President and Senior Lending Officer of TowneBank from April 1999 to June 2011. Mr. Morgan has years of experience in banking and financial services and served in numerous leadership roles focusing on lending, policy, review and management. From 1995 to 1998, Mr. Morgan served as an Executive Vice President and Corporate Banking Manager with the Corporate Banking Group of Branch Bank & Trust Corp. From 1992 to 1995, he was employed in various capacities with Commerce Bank. He serves as a Director of TowneBank of Currituck. Mr. Morgan served as a Director of The Smithfield Companies, Inc. He has been a Director of TowneBank since 1999. He served as an Independent Director of Waterside Capital Corporation from 1997 to June 30, 2006.
