Rob Stare

Rob Stare currently serves as the Director of Recreation Arts and Culture for the Township of Langley, a position held since June 2017, with previous roles including Deputy Director of Parks and Recreation and Community Recreation Manager. Stare's extensive background in recreation management includes over a decade at Canlan Ice Sports, where roles encompassed General Manager for both Burnaby 8 Rinks and Langley Twin Rinks. Stare began a career in the community services sector as Coordinator of Youth Services at Aldergrove Neighbourhood Services and managed facilities at Trinity Western University. An entrepreneur, Stare operated a retail bike store, Street to Peak Bike & Fitness Ltd., prior to entering public service. Educational qualifications include a Graduate Certificate in Management and Leadership from Royal Roads University and a BA in Physical Education from Trinity Western University.
