Jan Baum

Jan Baum is a distinguished professor and director at Towson University, with over twenty years of experience in higher education leadership, particularly in entrepreneurship and innovation. As the Faculty Director for Entrepreneurship@TU since 2021 and the founder of the Center for Innovation & Entrepreneurship, Baum has played a pivotal role in cultivating an entrepreneurship ecosystem at Maryland's second largest public university. Additionally, Baum founded and directs the Object Lab, a state-of-the-art digital fabrication lab. With a strong background in 3D printing and additive manufacturing, Baum has also founded Jan Baum + Associates LLC and the Innovation Institute, providing consulting services and driving innovation across various sectors. Education credentials include an MFA in Metals & Jewelry from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth and a BFA in the same field from Arcadia University.
