Gert Geudens

Gert Geudens has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Gert started their career as a Traineeship & thesis at LMS International, where they implemented and validated psychoacoustic metrics algorithms. Gert then joined KBC Bank & Verzekering as an Application Engineer, responsible for managing software systems and applications in the Credit and Leasing domain.

After that, Geudens worked at IBM for several years. Gert started as a Mobile Developer and was responsible for designing, developing, testing, and deploying new mobile apps for IBM employees worldwide. Later, they became a Scrum Master/Iteration Manager in the CIO Digital Workplace Engineering department, where they managed the Agile approach for internal mobile and web development projects.

Geudens then joined PwC Belgium as a Project Manager and Scrum Master, overseeing various projects. Gert also worked at Versett Europe (ex World of Digits) as a Scrum Master and Scrum Trainer, assisting clients in their Digital Transformation projects and providing Scrum training.

Currently, Geudens is working at Toyota Connected Europe as a Release Train Engineer and Scrum Master. In this role, they lead a product feature team working on mobile apps for Toyota and Lexus drivers in Europe. Gert coaches the scrum team and the rest of the organization on agile practices and ensures the successful delivery of B2C features.

Overall, Geudens has a strong background in Agile methodologies, project management, and software development, with a focus on digital transformation and improving the user experience.

Gert Geudens completed a Master of Applied Engineering degree in Electronics-ICT from Katholieke Hogeschool Kempen from 2004 to 2009. In addition, Gert obtained various certifications, including Scaling Agile - Executing a Program Increment, Scaling Agile - Running a Large Solution at Scale, Scaling Agile - Executing a Team Iteration, Scaling Agile - Getting Started, DevOps Essentials, Security and Privacy by Design Practitioner, Professional Scrum Master, Cognitive Practitioner, IBM Blockchain Essentials, IBM Recognized Teacher/ Educator, GBS Technical Delivery Specialist Project - Level 2, IBM Mentor, IBM Recognized Speaker/ Presenter, Enterprise Design Thinking Co-Creator, IBM Agile Achiever, and IBM Agile Champion. Furthermore, Gert is currently pursuing a certification in Certified SAFe® 5 Product Owner/Product Manager, which is expected to be obtained in March 2023.
