José Ricardo Gomes has extensive experience in the automotive industry, particularly with Toyota. José Ricardo started their career as a Financial Analyst at Grupo Abril in 1994. In 2003, they joined Toyota do Brasil and worked in various roles, including Sales Planning and Marketing Analyst, Department Manager of Sales Planning, Planning Manager, and National Sales Manager. From 2016 to 2018, they served as the Sales & Service General Manager at Toyota do Brasil. In 2018, José Ricardo Gomes moved to Toyota del Peru S.A. as the Executive Operations Manager, responsible for leading the Commercial Division in the country. José Ricardo achieved notable accomplishments, such as consolidating Toyota's position as the leader in the automotive industry and successfully introducing hybrid technology. In 2021, they returned to Toyota do Brasil as the General Manager Commercial and, in 2022, became the Commercial Director.

José Ricardo Gomes completed their undergraduate studies at Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo from 1999 to 2005, earning a degree in Economics. In 2006 and 2007, they pursued an MBA in Business Management at ESPM Escola Superior de Propaganda e Marketing. Additionally, they attended New York University in 2002 for a course in English. Currently, they are enrolled in the Leadership Development Program 1 at Toyota University, specializing in Executive/Management/People/Transformation/Mobility.
