Carl Jakobsson

Carl Jakobsson is an experienced professional within the automotive industry, currently serving as the Line Manager for Supply Chain Purchasing at Toyota Motor Europe since July 2018. In this role, Carl manages a team of buyers and oversees various aspects of automotive supply chain services such as multimodal transport, vessel freight, and customs operations, while engaging with suppliers and internal stakeholders through structured presentations. Prior to this position, Carl was a Senior Engineer in the Vehicle Simultaneous Engineering Department, focusing on design for manufacturing. Between 2009 and 2018, Carl held the title of Senior Production Engineer for Production Preparation, where significant contributions were made to process design and production equipment planning for major vehicle launches. Earlier experience includes roles as a Research & Development Engineer for chassis components at Toyota Belgium and an Application Engineer for automotive air springs at Continental. Carl holds a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from KTH Royal Institute of Technology, completed in 2003.
