Erin Buchanan

Erin Buchanan currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors for Waterloo EDC since July 2024 and holds the position of General Manager Manufacturing at Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada, a role pursued since December 2019. Previously, Erin worked at Toyota North America in various capacities from June 2017 to December 2019, including Group Manager - Competitiveness and Chief Production Engineer, focusing on vehicle planning and production engineering. Earlier experience includes roles at Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada from 2010 to 2017, including Assistant General Manager and Paint Engineering & Maintenance Manager, and at NUMMI from 2001 to 2010, culminating as Truck Paint Manager. Initial engineering experience was gained as a Paint Process Engineer at General Motors' Bowling Green Corvette Assembly Plant and at Norplas Industries Inc. Erin Buchanan holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Waterloo and has additional educational experience from Kettering University and Malvern Collegiate Institute.
