Aimee Goncalves is a highly skilled mechanical engineer with extensive experience in robotics and engineering research. Currently serving as a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Toyota Research Institute since November 2017, Aimee leads the Dexterous Manipulation Team, focusing on soft tactile robotics for whole-body manipulation. Aimee's previous roles include significant positions at SpaceX, where Aimee led acceptance testing for Falcon rocket mechanisms, and as a Graduate Researcher at the University of California, Berkeley, developing a modular Stewart Platform for surgical training. Aimee also holds a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from UC Berkeley and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
