Chavdar Papazov

Chavdar Papazov is an accomplished researcher and engineer with extensive experience in computer vision and geometry processing. Currently serving as a Senior Research Scientist at Toyota Research Institute since March 2022, Chavdar previously held the position of Senior Computer Vision Engineer at Apple, where the focus was on developing computer vision algorithms. Prior roles include Research Scientist at Zuse Institute Berlin, Developer of Geometry Processing at ubimake, and Postdoctoral Researcher at MERL, where work centered on 3D head pose estimation and algorithms for biological neural networks. Chavdar's academic background includes a Ph.D. in Computer Vision for Robotics from the Technical University of Munich, and Master's and Bachelor's degrees in Computer Science from Leibniz Universität Hannover and Brandenburg University of Applied Sciences, respectively.
