Deree Kobets is an experienced finance professional with a diverse background in financial management and consulting. Currently serving as the Controller at the Toyota Technological Institute at Chicago since November 2018, Kobets has held various roles including Financial Consultant at Salo LLC and Chief Financial Officer at Voices for Illinois Children. Previous experience includes senior financial consulting and independent consultancy, where responsibilities encompassed bookkeeping, GAAP-compliant financial statement preparation, budgeting, and forecasting. As the Founder and Owner of grow modern kids, a retail venture focused on healthy baby lifestyle products, Kobets demonstrated entrepreneurial acumen. Earlier career highlights include positions at Sears as a Financial Business Analyst and at Apex Venture Partners as a Marketing Specialist and Investment Fund Analyst.
