Gary Pemberton

Director at tp bennett

Gary graduated from the Technical University of Nova Scotia (now Dalhousie University) in Canada and moved to London to continue his architectural studies in the early 1980s. Remaining in the UK, he took up the position as a project architect on a number of prestigious projects before joining tp bennett in 2005 as a director. He brings over 30 years experience as a design and delivery architect, focusing on the residential, student housing, office and hospitality sectors.

Gary has overseen numerous projects at the practice including the corporate headquarters for Microsoft in Reading, Elekta in Crawley, business parks in Guildford, Arlington and Staines, student housing in Cambridge, London and Brighton, and high-end residential schemes in London. Most recently, he has been engaged with a large PRS housing masterplan project in Cambridge.

Committed to integrating new technologies with project delivery, Gary is an active member of the practice’s technical architecture group. Outside of architecture, he is a keen photographer and has had a number of images published in publications such as The Sunday Times.
