Mike Ibbott

Mike has a long and successful track record of leading and resolving complex planning projects. With over three decades’ experience, he worked in local authorities in London and Manchester before becoming tp bennett’s town planning team director in 2004.

Working alongside his architect colleagues, Mike’s aim is always to provide robust advice to clients and designers, and to manage planning risk. He has excellent contacts with planning decision-makers across London and the South East.

He has led on planning for many of tp bennett’s celebrated schemes, from Heartlands High School and the Mondrian Hotel at Sea Containers House, to London Bridge Station and Hanson’s HQ in Bedford. He has negotiated planning permission for many complex sites, including a mortuary in Haringey, student accommodation on former business sites in Stockwell and Coventry, and a solar farm in rural Northamptonshire, and has directed environmental impact processes when required.

On the back of this wide-ranging experience, Mike also runs tp bennett’s environmental management system.
