Andrew Polydor

Head of Global Markets at TP ICAP

As Global Head of Energy and Commodities, Andrew Polydor has built the largest energy and commodities broker in the world through organic growth and the acquisition of PVM in November 2014.

He started his career in foreign exchange with Tullett Forex in Australia in 1983, later moving to Charles Fulton in 1985. He transferred to London in 1989 and New York in 1990, where he became Vice President of Foreign Exchange. In 1998 Andrew switched to the energy markets after researching the deregulating market in Australia. He set up Prebon Energy Sydney, which quickly became the premier broker in the Australian power market. During this time he also set up Prebon Environmental Consultancy Services, a pioneer in the carbon markets. In 2000 Andrew was transferred to London by Prebon to run its growing energy business in Europe as Managing Director of Energy, EMEA, and was promoted to the position of Global Head of Energy and Commodities in 2008.
