Vanessa Chien

Vanessa Chien serves as a Senior Advisor and General Counsel for Asia Pacific at TPG Global since May 2007. Prior to this role, Vanessa worked at Citi as the Director and Associate General Counsel for Citigroup Alternative Investments from 2005 to May 2007. Vanessa's legal career began at Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP where the position of Associate was held from November 1997 to 2005, following an earlier role as a Paralegal at Asian Law Caucus Inc from 1992 to August 1994. Vanessa Chien is currently pursuing a Master of Public Health at The University of Hong Kong, focusing on Health Economics, Policy and Management, and holds a Doctor of Law degree from Yale Law School as well as a Bachelor of Arts in History, Summa Cum Laude, from Amherst College.
