Lo Lumsden has extensive experience in primary care and medical education, currently serving as a Primary Care Provider at Tidewater Physicians Multispecialty Group since January 2015 and as an Assistant Professor of Family Medicine at Eastern Virginia Medical School since 1978. With a background that includes 24 years of running a multispecialty practice and a focus on internal and adult medicine, Lumsden also precepts medical, PA, and NP students. Education includes a medical degree from the Medical College of Virginia and a Master’s degree in Community Health Professions/Gerontology from Old Dominion University, supplemented by studies at the University of Virginia and the University of California.

Our group began with four primary care medical groups in Newport News, Hampton and Yorktown, Virginia. Today, TPMG includes over 220 primary care, specialty physicians and advanced practice clinicians in 87 locations who provide care to patients throughout southeastern Virginia. Our physicians have long-standing relationships with the patients they serve and are well-respected for their medical and community leadership.
