Valerie Harvey

Valerie Harvey is an accomplished medical doctor currently affiliated with Tidewater Physicians Multispecialty Group since August 2017. In addition, Valerie serves as the Co-Director of the Skin of Color Research Institute at Hampton University, a position held since 2009, focusing on advancing the understanding and treatment of skin diseases affecting individuals with skin of color and addressing racial disparities in cutaneous disorders. Prior experience includes serving as Vice Chair of the Department of Dermatology at Eastern Virginia Medical School from 2013 to 2017. Valerie holds a Master of Public Health degree from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and both a Doctor of Medicine and a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from the University of Virginia.
