Brent Novak

Brent Novak is the current Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at TPx Communications. Prior to their current role, Brent served as the CFO of Jakks Pacific from April 2018 to December 2019.

Brent has extensive experience in leading strategic transactions and recapitalizations. Brent closed a $230 million recapitalization transaction while at Jakks Pacific in August 2019. Additionally, they have closed several debt transactions totaling over $100 million in capital commitments.

Brent is also experienced in building financial planning and analysis (FP&A) teams. Brent developed predictive reporting while at Jakks Pacific to provide more reliable forecasts and estimates of key performance indicators (KPI). Brent also established formal reviews of sales forecasts, product gross margins, and licensing deals with business leaders.

Thanks to Brent's efforts, Jakks Pacific saw annual cost savings of ~$15 million and a 9X improvement in adjusted EBITDA in 2019.

Brent Novak has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Economics from UC Santa Barbara and an Executive Education from The Wharton School. Brent is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in California.
