John Grandin

Director Of Agronomy at Trace Genomics

John Grandin has extensive work experience in the field of agronomy. John started their career in 1987 as a Consulting Agronomist at Key Agricultural Services, Inc. John then moved on to RIVERLAND FS, Inc. in 1994, where they worked as a Precision Farming Agronomist. At RIVERLAND FS, Inc., they developed and promoted precision farming services, provided technical support and agronomic training to salesmen and customers. In 2007, John joined GROWMARK, Inc. as a Region Seed Agronomist and later became a Senior Field Sales Agronomist. John worked at GROWMARK, Inc. until 2018.

After that, John worked at Compass Minerals from 2018 to 2023. At Compass Minerals, they held the positions of National Agronomy Coordinator and Sr. Technical Manager. Currently, they are working at Trace Genomics as a Commercial Agronomist, joining in 2023.

John Grandin earned their Bachelor of Science degree in Agronomy and Pest Management from Iowa State University, where they studied from 1979 to 1983. John later pursued a Master of Science degree in Agronomy at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, completing their studies from 1995 to 1999.
