Illya A.

Illya A. started their work experience in 2002 at Winston & Strawn LLP, where they worked as an Associate Attorney until 2004. Illya then moved on to Powell Goldstein LLP, where they continued as an Associate Attorney from 2004 to 2008. In 2009, Illya A. joined Bryan Cave LLP as an Associate Attorney for a year. Illya then worked at Paul Hastings LLP as an Attorney from January to May 2010. From 2010 to 2012, Illya A. served as Associate General Counsel at Control Components Inc. Illya also worked as Senior Counsel at Steinman & Rodgers LLP from 2012 to January 2016. Illya A. founded and owned OSNOVA from January 2016 to August 2017. Illya then joined TRACE International, Inc. as a Privacy Counsel from August 2017 to August 2018. From September 2018 onwards, Illya A. has held the role of Data Protection Officer and Counsel at TRACE International, Inc., where they are responsible for ensuring compliance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation and resolving any conflicts with anti-bribery due diligence processes. Additionally, as of February 2020, Illya A. has also held the position of Director, Compliance Resources at TRACE International, Inc.

Illya A. pursued higher education starting in 1994, when they enrolled at Kyiv National Linguistics University. They completed their studies in 1999, earning a Specialist degree in Linguistics with a focus on English and French. Following this, in 1999, Illya attended Vanderbilt University Law School for three years and obtained a JD degree in Law in 2002.
