Richard "Russ" Boring has over 20 years of experience in the telecommunications field. Their most recent role was as a Network Engineer at Trace Systems Inc. starting in 2023. Prior to that, they worked as a Network Engineer at Envistacom from 2022 to 2023.

Richard "Russ" Boring received a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale in 2003. Richard "Russ" then pursued a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Diplomacy (Political Science) and Military History from Hawaii Pacific University, completing it in 2007. The same year, they earned an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Educational/Instructional Technology from Community College of the Air Force. Richard "Russ" had previously received another AAS degree in Electronic Systems Technology from the same institution in 2003. Russ also holds additional certifications such as Project Management Professional (PMP), ITIL Foundation Level, and CompTIA Security+.
