Frank Matteson

Frank Matteson has extensive experience in various roles within the data and analytics field. Frank started their career at Sprint Print 2 as a Web Developer in 2004 and then moved on to work as a Developer at the Department of Corrections in 2006. In 2007, they joined Empi as a Senior Business Intelligence Developer.

From 2011 to 2017, Frank worked at H.B. Fuller, first as a Business Intelligence Developer and then as an IT Manager, specializing in Dev Apps and Business Intelligence. During this time, they led teams in using Microsoft .Net, SQL Server, SSIS, Reporting Services, Analysis Services, and Tabular Model, as well as Power BI.

In 2017, Frank joined Tail Wind Informatics Corporation, taking on the roles of Solutions Architect, Cloud, and Practice Manager, Data & Analytics. Frank played a key role in developing advanced data analytics solutions using Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake Analytics, U-SQL, Azure Databricks, and Snowflake technologies.

Frank also worked as a Solutions Architect at Tail Wind Client from 2019 to 2024. Their responsibilities included designing and implementing solutions using their expertise in data and analytics.

Currently, Frank is working as the Practice Director, Data & Analytics at Trace3 since 2024.

Frank Matteson attended the University of Minnesota Duluth from 2000 to 2004, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Management of Information Systems (MIS). In 2004, they briefly attended the University of Minnesota - Carlson School of Management, but it is unspecified if they obtained any degree or field of study from there. Additionally, Frank has obtained various certifications, including the Databricks Certified Data Analyst Associate and Databricks Certified Data Engineer Associate from Databricks, the SnowPro Core Certification and Snowflake Technical Sales Professional Accreditation from Snowflake, and the Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) certification from Microsoft. Frank also holds the Snowflake SnowPro certification from Snowflake Computing and the OBIEE Dashboard & Answers Certification from BICG. In 2022, Frank acquired the Academy Accreditation - Databricks Lakehouse Platform Essentials from Databricks. Frank also has a certification in SAP BusinessObjects, although the institution and specific details are not provided.
