Jai Padmanabhan

Jai Padmanabhan has a strong background in engineering and management roles. Jai is currently working as the Senior Director of Cloud Engineering at TraceLink since March 2021. Prior to this, they worked at Wayfair from 2018 to 2021, where they held several positions including Senior Manager of Supply Chain Engineering and Senior Manager of Performance Engineering and Development Platforms. At Wayfair, Jai focused on scaling up applications and platforms, enhancing development experiences, and influencing application architecture.

Before Wayfair, Jai worked at SavingStar, Inc. as the Head of Quality and Performance Engineering from 2015 to 2018. In this role, they managed a global team of engineers and was responsible for building automation for testing various aspects of the company's products, including REST API, databases, web, and mobile applications. Jai also focused on performance testing and security testing.

Prior to SavingStar, Jai worked at Exeter Group from 2014 to 2015 as the Manager of Quality and Performance Engineering in the healthcare domain. In this role, they managed a global team of QA engineers and provided technical leadership in software automation and performance testing. Jai successfully led the team's transformation from manual to automated testing, including UI automation, system tests, and performance testing.

Jai also worked at RSA Security as a Senior Performance Engineer from 2012 to 2014, where they focused on performance testing.

Their earlier experience includes working at HP from 2007 to 2012 as a Senior Developer in Test, where they developed automation frameworks and tested various technologies, including SQL databases, .NET, and VMware API. Jai also worked at The MathWorks from 2005 to 2007 as an Application Support Engineer, providing technical support for MATLAB and Simulink products and mentoring engineers.

Throughout their career, Jai has demonstrated expertise in performance engineering, automation, and technical leadership.

Jai Padmanabhan holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration and Management from Worcester Polytechnic Institute. Additionally, Jai has a Master of Science (MS) degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from The University of Alabama. Furthermore, Jai obtained a Certificate in Computer Science from Harvard Extension School.

In terms of additional certifications, Jai has completed several courses and obtained certifications in various areas. These include "Goal Setting: Objectives and Key Results (OKRs)" from LinkedIn, obtained in January 2022, "Working with High-Conflict People as a Manager" from LinkedIn, obtained in July 2021, "Executive Leadership" from LinkedIn, obtained in May 2021, "Coaching Skills for Leaders and Managers" from LinkedIn, obtained in January 2021, "Effective Listening" from LinkedIn, obtained in January 2021, and a "Foundation level tester" certification from the International Software Testing Qualifications Board (ISTQB), obtained in March 2015.
