Kurt Umholtz

Kurt Umholtz has a strong and diverse work experience spanning over several years. Most recently, from December 2018 to present, they have been working at TraceLink as a Senior Manager of Software Engineering.

From 2014 to 2018, Kurt worked at Eze Software where they held the role of Software Engineering Management. During this time, they were responsible for building and managing Agile teams distributed across multiple international locations. Kurt provided engineering leadership and was involved in developing new cloud-based SPAs as well as updating .Net client-server applications.

Prior to Eze Software, Kurt worked at The Parker River Group, Inc. from September 2007 to February 2014 as a Principal Software Engineering Consultant. Kurt specialized in financial services systems and integration consulting, including data design for client reporting in a multi-platform environment.

Before that, Kurt worked at State Street Bank as a Consultant from 2006 to 2007 and at DST Systems as a Principal Consultant from 2005 to 2007. Kurt also held the role of Director at Babson Capital Management, LLC from 2003 to 2005, where they managed and directed various responsibilities.

Kurt has a background in technology, as evident from their earlier roles. Kurt worked at Simply Found as Founder and Chairman - Director of Product Development from 2001 to 2003, where they played a key role in product development. Kurt also has experience in UNIX system administration and security, having worked at Thomson Financial - First Call as a UNIX System Administration and Security Consultant from 1999 to 2002.

Kurt's career started at Beacon Design Group as a Senior Consultant, where they worked from 1991 to 2000. Kurt also had a role as a Consultant/Vendor at Prudential Investments from 1997 to 1999.

Kurt Umholtz attended Syracuse University from 1983 to 1986, where they obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree with a focus on painting. Prior to their time at Syracuse, they briefly studied at Michigan Technological University in 1982 and 1983, focusing on computer engineering.
