Lynn Young

Lynn Young has extensive work experience in various roles in the software engineering field. Lynn worked at TraceLink as a Software Engineer starting in 2013. Prior to that, Lynn worked at the Broad Institute as a Software Engineer from 2011 to 2013, where they played a crucial role in supporting project management and laboratory information management systems. Lynn also worked at the J. Craig Venter Institute as a Software Engineer from 2003 to 2008, where they developed a Java Swing application for tracking DNA microarray production. Lynn started their career in cancer research, first at Exelixis from 1997 to 2000, and then at the Whitehead Institute from 1992 to 1997, where they conducted research on Drosophila melanogaster as a model organism for cancer studies.

Lynn Young completed a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Computer Science from San Jose State University, where they studied from 1999 to 2002. Prior to that, they obtained another Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biology/Biological Sciences, General from Lafayette College, attending from 1984 to 1988.
