Marco Messina

Marco Messina is a Senior Developer and Computer Vision Engineer at TrackMan since March 2020, specializing in real-time detection and classification of sports balls and players using optical camera and radar data. Prior to this role, Marco served as a Senior System Analyst at IDS S.p.A. from October 2009 to February 2020, where algorithm design and implementation focused on image processing, computer vision, machine learning, and radar signal processing. Marco started as a Test Engineer at Screen Service Broadcasting Technologies S.p.A from October 2008 to October 2009, conducting formal and functional testing of DVB systems and developing simulation tools. Marco holds a Master’s degree in Telecommunication Engineering with a focus on Signal Processing and Remote Sensing from Università di Pisa, completed in 2008, and a Bachelor’s degree in the same field from the same university, completed in 2006.
