Dany Lopes

Dany Lopes is a skilled mechanical engineer with extensive experience in the nuclear power sector. Currently serving as the Mechanical Lead Engineer for SMR applications at Tractebel since November 2013, Dany is responsible for developing competencies related to Gen III and Gen IV SMR technologies within the Mechanical Engineering department. Previous roles at Tractebel include Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, Mechanical Engineer with expertise in contract management and quality control, and Lead Mechanical Engineer for International projects. Dany also led the Mechanical Team for the Tihange 1 Long Term Operation (LTO) project. Dany's earlier experience includes work as a Junior Maintenance Engineer at Akka Technologies, where inspection plans for classified HVAC systems were created, and a thesis on quality improvement in piping and welding operations during an internship at Electrabel. Educational background includes a Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Electromechanics from ECAM and Haute Ecole 'Léonard de Vinci', Bruxelles.
