Laurent Margaria has a strong background in business development and sales in the engineering industry. Laurent started their career at Alstom Power in 1993, where they worked as a Commissioning Engineer and later as a Technical & Commercial Proposal. In 2002, they joined Alstom Power as a Project Manager. In 2007, Laurent joined GE Power Conversion as the Global Sales Leader for High-Speed Rotating Machines. Laurent then moved to Aker Solutions in 2013, where they served as the Business Development and Sales Director for Europe, Middle East & Africa. Since 2015, Laurent has been working at Tractebel Engineering - ENGIE, holding the position of Head of Business Development & Sales Hydraulics and Director of the subsidiary in Ivory Coast.
Laurent Margaria attended the Institut Universitaire de Toulon from 1990 onwards, where they pursued a DUT in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Electrotechnology. Additionally, they studied at the Ecole de commerce ESV from 1992, although specific details regarding their degree or field of study are not available.
