Ian Harley

Ian Harley has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Ian is currently the Co-Founder & CEO of Traction, a role they started in April 2020. Prior to this, Ian worked at EY as an Agri-Tech Precision Agriculture Specialist for UKTI from April 2015 to July 2017. Ian'sresponsibilities included supporting Agri-Tech sector foreign direct investment opportunities, engaging with UK and overseas businesses, and identifying target sectors and markets. Before joining EY, Ian was the VP Sales at Granular from July 2013 to August 2014. Ian also held the position of Business Unit Director - Information Management at Trimble Navigation from July 2009 to July 2013. Ian began their career as the Owner of Farm Works, a role they held from January 1996 to July 2009.

Ian Harley completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Agricultural Science at The University of Edinburgh from 1983 to 1987. Ian then pursued further education and obtained their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a specialization in Ag Science from The University of Edinburgh, studying from 1996 to 1999.
