David Beer

Dave Beer is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in international development and diplomacy. Currently serving as Chief Executive Officer at TradeMark East Africa since September 2022, Beer previously held key positions including British High Commissioner to Malawi at the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office from September 2020 to September 2022, and Country Director for Malawi at the Department for International Development (DFID) from July 2018 to August 2020. Beer has a strong background in managing development strategies and humanitarian programs across various regions, including roles at The World Bank and DFID in Ghana and Burundi. With a degree from the University of Oxford, Beer has consistently demonstrated leadership in program management, institutional risk, and economic policy engagement.
