Joanita Nakimuli

Joanita Nakimuli is an accomplished board member with extensive experience in governance, risk, and compliance across multiple organizations. Currently serving on the boards of Ecobank Uganda Limited and Leading Boards Africa, as well as an independent member of the audit committee at UAP Old Mutual Uganda, Joanita also holds the position of Director - Governance, Risk and Compliance at TradeMark Africa, where significant contributions include establishing the Risk & Compliance Unit in Nairobi. Joanita's career at PricewaterhouseCoopers spanned a decade, culminating in the role of Tax Director, where leadership in tax compliance engagements and strategic consultancy was demonstrated. Academic qualifications include advanced degrees from The London School of Economics and Political Science, along with certifications from the Chartered Institute of Taxation and the Institute of Risk Management.
