Colleen Brown

Compassionate Entrepreneur - Manager at Trades of Hope

Colleen Brown has worked in a variety of roles since 1993. Colleen began their career as an Assistant Teacher at Y Wee Care Preschool in 1993. Colleen then became a Special Education Teacher at Saranac Central School District in 1994 and Whitehall Central School District in 1996. In 2007, they moved to Pyramids Child Development Center, where they continued to work as a Special Education Teacher. In 2011, they joined High Peaks Hospice & Palliative Care, Inc. as a Support Group Facilitator and Bereavement Coordinator. Since 2016, they have been working as a Compassionate Entrepreneur - Manager at Trades of Hope, where they create a marketplace for fair-trade products made by artisans around the globe and educates others about empowering women.

Colleen Brown obtained their Bachelor of Education (BEd) from the State University of New York College at Plattsburgh in 1991-1993, specializing in Special Education K-12. Colleen then went on to earn their Master of Education (MEd) from the same university between 1993-1997.
