Brandon Defalco

Brandon DeFalco has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Brandon started their career as a Field Technician at the Visiting Nurses Association in 2008 and worked there until 2011. Brandon then joined the Old Republic Insurance Company as a Computer Operator from 2013 to 2015.

In 2015, Brandon joined Continuum Managed Services, LLC as a Service Desk Engineer for a brief period before moving on to UPMC. At UPMC, they held multiple roles including Data Communications Specialist from 2015 to 2016, Network Security Engineer - Intermediate from 2016 to 2019, and Information Security Analyst - Intermediate from 2019 to 2020.

Following their tenure at UPMC, Brandon joined Fragomen as a Senior Security Engineer from 2020 to 2021. Brandon then transitioned to Cyware as a SOAR Engineer for a few months before joining Optiv as a Senior Consultant - SOAR from 2021 to 2022. Currently, they are working at Tradeweb as the Vice President of Information Security, overseeing Security Automation and Security Platform Operations.

Brandon DeFalco received their Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) degree in Information Science and Technology from Penn State University, which they attended from 2010 to 2013. In addition, they have obtained several certifications, including Elastic Certified Engineer from Elastic in August 2022, [PCAP-31-03] PCAP – Certified Associate in Python Programming from the Python Institute in 2022, and Palo Alto Accredited Configuration Engineer from Palo Alto Networks in 2017. Brandon also holds certifications in CompTIA Security+ ce obtained in July 2016 and CompTIA Network+ ce obtained in July 2013. Furthermore, they achieved the Palo Alto Networks Certified Security Automation Engineer certification in November 2021. Brandon also has a certification in Mac Integration Basics 10.10 from Pearson VUE, although the exact date is not available.
