Gatis Seja

Gatis Seja is a seasoned professional in machine learning and data engineering, currently serving as the Director of Machine Learning Engineering at Tradeweb since April 2020, focusing on developing data-driven solutions for the financial industry. Previously, Gatis held the role of Lead Data Engineer at Schroders, overseeing two teams to enhance data accessibility for investment decisions. Experience as a Data Engineer at Zopa involved building an enterprise data warehouse and creating ETL data pipelines, while earlier roles at CCFE and the Institute of Atomic Physics and Spectroscopy included data analysis and software development in Python. Gatis holds a Master’s degree in Theoretical Physics from the University of York and has also contributed as an English teacher in China.
