Matthew Phillips has extensive work experience in the finance and technology industry. Matthew began their career at Visa International in 1992, where they worked as an Analyst/Programmer in the Finance Division. In 1994, they moved to Daiwa Securities SMBC Co. Ltd. and held the position of Development Manager in the Equity Finance IT department. From 1998 to 2011, Phillips worked at Barclays Capital in Prime Services IT. Matthew then joined PrimeOne Solutions in 2012, where they served as the Director and Head of Securities Lending. In 2015, they joined Nomura International as the Executive Director and Global Head of Securities Lending IT. Most recently, in 2016, they became the COO/Head of Delivery at Trading Apps Ltd.
Matthew Phillips attended the European School Luxembourg from 1973 to 1986, where they obtained a European Baccalaureate degree. Following this, they pursued higher education at UCL from 1986 to 1991, earning a Bsc Hons degree in Computer Science.
