Research Support Manager - Europe at TRAFFIC

Kathy Rock is an experienced research professional with a focus on wildlife trade and conservation. Currently serving as Research Support Manager at TRAFFIC since November 2020, Kathy conducts scientific and legal research related to EU Wildlife Trade Regulations under CITES, analyzing trade and seizure data to produce technical reports. Previously, Kathy worked as a Legal Researcher and Analyst at Legal Atlas®, where briefings on wildlife trade laws in 38 jurisdictions were prepared, and as a Researcher at the University of Kent and a Visiting Researcher at Northeast Forestry University, focusing on wildlife product consumption among university students in China. Kathy's early experience includes conservation efforts for Olive Ridley sea turtles in Costa Rica and academic support roles while pursuing degrees in Zoology and Conservation Biology and International Wildlife Trade from the University of Reading and the University of Kent, respectively.
