Karen Whitehouse

Karen Whitehouse has a diverse work experience in the education sector. Karen worked at Trafford College from September 2014 to August 2021, where they held various roles, including the position of Head of Studies for Adult English, ESOL, maths, employability, community, and leisure learning until their retirement in August 2017. Karen also served as the Programme Quality Leader for Adult Maths, English, Community Learning, Essential & Employability Skills, where they taught maths to adult learners and managed a team of tutors. Additionally, they were the Curriculum Leader for Adult English, ESOL, Maths, Community Learning & Employability skills, responsible for planning, delivery, and assessment of adult part-time programmes.

Karen also worked as the Assistant Manager for Maths & IT, where they led the delivery of maths and IT qualifications to full-time and part-time students and apprentices.

Karen Whitehouse completed their Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics and Statistics from The Open University between 1997 and 2000. In 2002-2003, they pursued a PGCE Higher and Further Education at The Manchester Metropolitan University, specializing in Education. Prior to their higher education, Karen attended Gateacre Comprehensive School from 1978 to 1984, but no specific degree or field of study is mentioned for this period.
