Michael MacDonald

Michael MacDonald is an experienced educator and community advocate specializing in Deaf awareness and British Sign Language (BSL). Since October 2014, Michael has served as a Finance Committee member and Local Education Authority Governor at Springfield Primary School Sale, while also advising the Trafford Deaf community through the Trafford Disability Hate Crime initiative. Michael has been a BSL tutor at WEA North West Regional and Trafford College, teaching comprehensive courses and delivering Deaf awareness presentations. Additionally, Michael holds governance positions at Pictor School and has a background as an Equality & Diversity Officer with Trafford Council, focusing on accessibility for diverse communities. Prior to these roles, Michael gained experience in reprographics and graphic design with Greater Manchester Police. Education includes a PGCE from The University of Bolton and attendance at Whitebrook School for the Deaf.
