Paul James

Paul James currently serves as the Chief Digital Officer for Trafford Metropolitan Borough Council, a position held since August 2018, where strategic leadership is provided for the digital transformation and IT operations of Trafford Council and NHS Greater Manchester. Prior to this role, Paul was the IM&T Lead for the Stockport Together Programme, leading various initiatives for health and social care integration, and transformed Stockport Council’s IT services, achieving significant revenue savings as Head of IT. Other notable positions include Chair of the Greater Manchester IT Leaders Group, Operations and Support Manager at Burns e-Commerce Solutions, and various roles within NatWest Bank. Paul has extensive experience in information technology, digital strategy, and public sector management.
