Mik Milovanov is a highly experienced metallurgist with a strong background in copper smelting and process engineering, currently serving as Principal Metallurgist at Trafigura since November 2023. Prior to this role, Mik worked as a Project Engineer at Masan High-Tech Materials from November 2021 to October 2023, and held positions including Senior Process Control Engineer at Mipac and Copper Smelter Technical Superintendent at Glencore Mount Isa Mines. Additional expertise comes from earlier roles at Mount Isa Mines, First Quantum Minerals LTD, and WorleyParsons, where Mik contributed to significant technological optimizations in smelting operations and improvements in safety and maintenance systems. Mik holds an Engineer degree in base metals metallurgy from Moscow State Institute of Steel and Alloys, completed in 2008.
