Rory Townsend

Rory Townsend is a seasoned professional in the commodity and economic research sectors, currently serving as a Battery Metals Analyst at Trafigura since November 2023. Prior to this role, Rory held the position of Vice President in Commodity Research at BMO Capital Markets from July 2021 to October 2023, and served in various capacities including Associate in Commodity Research. Rory's experience also includes a notable tenure at Wood Mackenzie, where roles ranged from Head of Gold Research to Research Analyst in different sectors. Earlier career experiences include a Risk Intern position at the Pension Protection Fund. Rory holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of Bath and has completed A-levels with top grades at Cranleigh School.
