Carmen Kohl is a Senior Machine Learning Engineer and Data Scientist at Trainline, with a tenure starting in June 2021. Prior to this, Carmen served as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Brown University, focusing on biophysical modeling of EEG and neurostimulation from July 2019 to June 2021. Carmen's experience also includes a position as a Research Associate at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, where the research concentrated on the effects of distractors in decision-making using TMS and MRI from July 2018 to July 2019, and as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at City, University of London, investigating novel neurometric measures of perceptual decision-making from November 2017 to June 2018. Additionally, Carmen was a Visiting Lecturer at City, University of London, overseeing PhD and MSc modules in research design and statistics from January 2016 to July 2017. Carmen holds a PhD in Cognitive Neuroscience from City, University of London, as well as an MS in Cognitive and Clinical Neuroscience from Goldsmiths, University of London, and a BS in Criminological Psychology from Buckinghamshire New University.
