Fayaz Khazi, Ph.D.

Fayaz Khazi, Ph.D. has extensive experience in the biotechnology industry. Fayaz is currently the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Traitology, a position they have held since December 2022. Prior to this, they served as the Chief Executive Officer of Elo Life Systems from June 2018 to January 2022.

Before their role at Elo Life Systems, Khazi worked at Precision BioSciences, Inc. as the President of Precision PlantSciences from May 2017 to December 2021. From May 2014 to April 2017, they were the Chief Executive Officer of KeyGene USA at KeyGene.

Khazi also held various leadership positions at Intrexon Corporation, including Vice-President of Business Analytics and Strategy, Senior Director of Business Development, Director of Translational Medicine in the Human Therapeutics Division, and Director of Gene Delivery and Genome Modification. From 2005 to 2007, they were a Research Associate at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, and from 2002 to 2005, they were an HHMI Post-Doctoral Fellow at Howard Hughes Medical Institute and University of Pennsylvania.

Fayaz Khazi, Ph.D. has a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Molecular Genetics from Auburn University. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Agriculture from the University of Agricultural Sciences, Bangalore.
