Tengfang Huang

VP & Head of Research at Traitology

Tengfang Huang has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in the research and agriculture sectors.

Starting in 2010, Huang gained experience as a Postdoc and Research Associate at the Boyce Thompson Institute, where they conducted research on the regulation of free amino acids under abiotic stress and utilized RNA silencing to improve the nutritional value of potato tubers.

In 2014, Huang joined KeyGene as a Research Scientist and later became a Research Scientist II, focusing on scientific research in the field of genetics.

They then joined Precision BioSciences, Inc. in 2017 as a Team Leader, specializing in translational agriculture.

Huang made a move to Elo Life Systems in 2018, where they held several positions including Senior Scientist, Director of Translational Agriculture, and ultimately became the VP of Research.

In 2020, Huang also worked as an Adjunct Professor at QUT (Queensland University of Technology).

Their most recent position, starting in 2023, is as the VP and Head of Research at Traitology. Overall, Huang's work experience demonstrates a strong background in research, genetics, and agricultural innovation.

Tengfang Huang completed a Ph.D in Plant Molecular Biology and Biological Sciences from Cornell University, from 2004 to 2010. Prior to that, from 2000 to 2004, Tengfang Huang obtained a B.S. degree in Biological Sciences from Fudan University. In 2004, Tengfang Huang also briefly attended The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, although the specific degree and field of study are unspecified.
