Founder and Managing Partner at Trajectory Capital

Michael Frankel has over 18 years of experience in corporate development, strategy, and finance. In 2021, they became the Founder and Managing Partner of Trajectory Capital Partners, an investment firm focused on mature companies applying disruptive offerings to large established addressable markets. Michael also became the President and CFO of Trajectory Alpha Acquisition Corp. (NYSE: TCOA), a Special Purpose Acquisition Company. From 2015-2021, they were the SVP and MD of Deloitte New-venture Accelerator (DNA)/Deloitte Investments & Firm Operating Committee, where they led a growth strategy and portfolio operations team and served on the Deloitte Operating Committee. From 2014-2015, they were an independent board member (public & private), interim CEO, and law school lecturer for Hire An Esquire, Monday Envelope, REDBOOKS, TargetData, and HolaDoctor. In 2010, they joined Onvia as a board of directors and chair of the nominating & governance committee, and in 2014 they became the Chief Financial Officer of 50onRed. From 2013-2014, they were the Chief Financial Officer of comiXology, which was sold to Amazon. From 2008-2010, they were the Senior Vice President of Business Development and M&A at LexisNexis. From 2005-2008, they were the Senior Vice President of Corporate Development & Strategy at Information Resources Inc. (IRI). Lastly, from 2003-2005, they were the Vice President of Business Development at GE Capital (GE Consumer Finance).

Michael Frankel attended the University of Chicago from 1986 to 1995, earning a BA in Political Science in 1990, an MA in International Relations in 1990, an MBA in 1995, and a JD in 1995.
