Jim Steele

Jim Steele is a seasoned business leader with extensive experience in manufacturing and operations management. Currently serving as the Business Leader at Trane Technologies since September 2020, Jim oversees three manufacturing plants in the Grand Rapids area, successfully expanding the site from one value stream to four within three years. Prior experience includes positions such as Vice President/General Manager at Regal Beloit Corporation, where Jim held complete P&L responsibility for the electric motor business, and Director of Business Development, focusing on customer relations and market expansion. Earlier roles at A.O. Smith involved significant improvements in engineering processes as Director of Engineering, while prior positions with Rockwell Automation and Ideal Electric Co. demonstrated a strong foundation in product development and P&L management. Jim holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Gannon University.
