Kyle Hanson

Kyle Hanson is an experienced engineering professional currently serving as the Power Electronics Design Team Lead at Trane Technologies since July 2023. Prior to this role, Kyle spent over seven years at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in various positions, including WEMPEC Operations Lead, where responsibilities involved membership outreach, financial auditing, and implementing a SalesForce CRM tool, and WEMPEC Electrification Lab Manager, overseeing a 6,000 ft² research lab for electric motor and power electronics. Previous roles include Mechanical Design Engineer III at Bruker Nano Surfaces, Product Development Engineer at Ford Motor Company, and WEMPEC Research Assistant at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Kyle holds a Master’s and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, with additional studies at DTU - Technical University of Denmark.
