Michael Kern serves as the Director of Strategy and Growth Initiatives at Trane Technologies, leading strategic initiatives and guiding the Senior Leadership Team in developing and executing the business unit strategy within the Residential HVAC and Supply Business Unit. Kern has held various roles at Trane Technologies, including Senior Manager of Strategic Programs and Strategic Initiatives Program Manager, where key projects included market segment strategies and joint venture activations. Prior experience encompasses leadership positions at Perficient and Ingersoll Rand, managing projects related to Smart Grid communication infrastructure and business process improvements. Michael holds an MBA from Wake Forest University and an MS in Mechanical Engineering from North Carolina State University, along with a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Clemson University. Currently, Kern is enrolled in the Trane Technologies Executive Leadership Program at INSEAD.
