Nonhlanhla Mbele has a diverse range of work experience in finance and accounting. Nonhlanhla is currently the Chief Financial Officer at Trans-Africa Projects. Prior to that, they worked as the HOD:Finance - Financial Manager at Hot Slots, where they were responsible for financial planning, strategy, and operations management. Before that, they served as a Director at MBN Accountants & Business Consultants. Nonhlanhla also worked as a Management Consultant in Finance and Procurement Analytics at MultiChoice Group and as a Financial Manager for a fixed-term contract at Netcare. Nonhlanhla has experience in financial management and reporting, risk management, and compliance. Nonhlanhla also has experience in the aviation industry, having worked as a Financial Manager and Accounts Payable Manager at South African Express Airways. Nonhlanhla began their career as a CA Article Clerk at PKF South Africa.
Nonhlanhla Mbele's education history begins in 2003 when they enrolled at the University of the Free State for a Bachelor's degree in Accounting (B.ACC). Nonhlanhla completed this program in 2005. Nonhlanhla then pursued further education at the University of South Africa/Universiteit van Suid-Afrika, where they earned an Honors Bachelor's degree in Accounting Sciences (HONS. B.ACC SCIENCES) from 2009 to 2010.
In 2017, Nonhlanhla Mbele attended the University of Johannesburg for the Accounting Professional Training program. This program, titled the Professional Competence Development Programme in Accountancy and Related Disciplines, lasted for a year.
Nonhlanhla Mbele also holds additional certifications. Nonhlanhla is a Certified Tax Practitioner, having obtained this certification from IAC. Nonhlanhla is also a member of the Golden Key International Honour Society. Lastly, they hold the SARS: Tax Practitioner certification from the South African Revenue Service (SARS). However, specific dates of obtaining these certifications are not provided.

Trans-Africa Projects, specialist in High Voltage Services was established in 1995 as a joint venture between Fluor and Eskom to commercially apply resources and expertise in electrical infrastructure projects in sub-Saharan Africa and beyond. From humble beginnings, TAP evolved into an independent internationally recognised high voltage EPCM and Consulting service provider. After 21 years in the engineering industry, TAP remains a successful engineering service provider offering an array of services, which include Power System Consulting, Engineering Design for power lines and substations inclusive of primary and control plant, Project Management and Construction Supervision. Within our specialised services, we also offer electrical infrastructure audits, earthing studies, electromagnetic modelling, system and protection fault investigations. TAP also supplies tower mechanical and electrical testing and renewable energy grid integration infrastructure design and grid compliance. TAP remains the leader in providing local and international high voltage transmission, sub-transmission, distribution and electrification projects, ranging from 765 kV to 11 kV. As corporate citizens we are dedicated to investing our time in skills development initiatives. We achieve this through in- house learning opportunities, bursaries and further support for the growth of smaller businesses. TAP aims to continuously "Power the Future".
