Uma Hira

Uma Hira is a seasoned professional currently serving as Senior Manager of the Centre of Expertise in HR&OD at TCTA (Trans-Caledon Tunnel Authority) since July 2021. Uma Hira has extensive experience as the Owner and Learning and Development Consultant at Uma Hira Consulting from September 2005 to December 2021, along with previous roles including Manager during the same period and Consultant for Diversity and Organisational Development at Anglo Platinum from 2006 to 2014. Additionally, Uma Hira was the Learning Manager for Group projects at Edcon from 2004 to 2005. Academic qualifications include a Master's Degree in Adult Learning and Global Change from the University of the Western Cape, a BA Hons in Human Resources Development from the University of Johannesburg, and a Bachelor’s Degree in English Language and Literature, Sociology, and Philosophy from the University of KwaZulu-Natal.
