Technical Support Engineer at TransAct

Derek DeWolf has a diverse work experience spanning several roles in the technology industry. Derek began their career as a Computer Lab Assistant at PennWest Clarion, where they provided technical support to students and managed computer systems. In 2007, they joined TransAct Technologies as a Technical Support Engineer, responsible for providing technical support to customers and troubleshooting various types of printers across multiple markets. From 2012 to 2016, Derek worked as a Customer Success Engineer, focusing on the Oil & Gas and Point of Sale sectors, providing pre-sales support and troubleshooting complex client issues. Derek then transitioned to the role of Technical Sales Engineer, specializing in Restaurant Solutions, where they provided technical support to sales teams and customers, gathering requirements and facilitating the successful rollout of TransAct's AccuDate Products. Most recently, Derek held the position of Software Quality Assurance Test Engineer, where they designed test plans, documented software defects, and analyzed and documented problems with program function.

Derek DeWolf earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Information Systems from PennWest Clarion, from the years 2003 to 2007. Prior to that, they obtained a High School Diploma in Mathematics and Computer Science from Campbell-Savona Junior/Senior High School, from 1997 to 2003.
